DBNPA series products are used in the short-term preservation of coatings and coating additives such as latex, starch and mineral slurries. DBNPA is a fast-acting/quick-kill biocide that is broad-spectrum, and does not contain or release formaldehyde
DBNPA is a highly effective and broad-spectrum industrial microbicides. It can prevent the bacteria and algae from growing in papermaking, industrial circulating cool water, metal processing oil, pulp, wood, paint and plywood. As an effective biocide, DBNPA can penetrate the membranes of microorganisms and affect a certain protein group to break the normal celluar redox, which causes the death of the cell. Meanwhile, its branch can selectively brominate or oxidize the metabolites of special enzyme, which is another way to cause microorganisms death. DBNPA is also widely used as slime control in pulp of paper mills and circulating cool water system.

Product description:
DBNPA 20% s an aqueous formulation containing a 20% w/w of DBNPA (2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide) . It is a highly effective bactericide exhibiting fast onset of action with proven performance in the past 5 decades.
Solubility: soluble in water
Odor: Low to mild
Boiling Point: >120℃ for solution
Thermal stability: Significant decomposition begins above 70°C/158°F
